Housing Legislation

The City Council resolved in Resolution 2020-46, that it registers its strong opposition to the current practice of the State legislature of proposing and passing multitudes of bills that directly impact and interfere with the ability of cities to control their own destiny through use of zoning authority that has been granted to them.  It furthermore declares that, should the State continue to pass legislation that attacks local municipal authority, control and revenue, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes will support actions such as a ballot measure that would limit the State ability to control local activities and strengthen local democracy and authority.

The following legislation is related to housing and local land use policy.
