Join us at beautiful Hesse Park for a day of celebrating the outdoors with free crafts and activities for kids, dog adoptions, and more!

Our contract instructors will be providing free crafts and activities for kids. Learn more about the summer camps and classes taking place at our local parks. The Recreation and Parks Department will be handing out nature journals, nature crafts, and fun giveaways. There will be a fun mobile touch tank, where kids will get to meet our local tide pool critters, plus a petting zoo by Mobile Zoo of Southern California, cat and dog adoptions by Pedro Pet Pals, and more!

Kids to Parks Day is a national day of outdoor play celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. The day connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands through thousands of park events that promote discovery and exploration in the great outdoors.
