Ring has partnered with RPV to test a pilot program for pre-identified neighborhoods to boost crime prevention efforts and will provide 100 free Ring devices for these neighborhoods if 1,500 residents download the App. We need your help to reach the goal!
Download the App today and you can enter into an opportunity drawing to win a Video Doorbell 2 so you can monitor your home from anywhere. The Video Doorbell 2 retails for $199.00. Download Ring’s Neighbors App by April 30, 2019! After downloading the App, contact Jacqueline Ruiz, Administrative Analyst in the City Manager’s Office at jruiz@rpvca.gov, to provide your contact information in order to be entered into the opportunity drawing for your chance to win the Video Doorbell 2. Provide your name, email address that is linked to your Neighbors App, phone number and option selected to download the App.
The Neighbors App is free and can be used by all RPV residents regardless if you own or do not own a Ring device at your home. Residents can anonymously post a text, photo, or video in real-time to keep their fellow RPV neighbors on the lookout! When anyone in your neighborhood shares a crime or safety alert, you will receive a notification on your smartphone or tablet.
The Neighbors App allows users, during the account setup process, will be required to verify where you are allocated. Users will also be able to create a custom geographic area so that the content in the App is relevant to the user and fellow neighbors. Users can view crime and safety posts on a live feed or interactive map.
How to Download the App
Select one of the options below to download the App so it counts toward our goal. If you opt to not use one of the options below you will not be eligible to enter into the opportunity drawing.

Eligibility:
Participants must provide proof of residency. A valid driver’s license or current utility bill along with photo identification will be accepted.

Participant must provide proof that the Ring Neighbors App is currently downloaded on a smartphone or tablet. Be prepared to show your smartphone or tablet in person.
*The announced winner will be required to pick up the Video Doorbell 2 at Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall and provide proof of residency and proof of Ring Neighbors App is currently downloaded and active on personal smartphone or tablet. The winner will be contacted by City Staff.
