Caltrans began constructing ADA curb ramps, crosswalks and medians along Western Avenue at Peninsula Verde Drive and Trudie Drive. Due to potential lane closures, Staff has requested Caltrans to provide the City with its tentative work schedule and information regarding any lane closure. Caltrans is also scheduled to start another project in late June 2020, involving ADA curb ramp construction along Western Avenue at six intersections between West Toscanini Drive and Summerland Street. The entire project is expected to last 3-4 months. Caltrans is currently reviewing Traffic Control Plans (TCP) and will inform the City of any lane closures once the TCP is approved. The City will also provide the project schedule within the City limits, once Caltrans has finalized it. Staff will provide listserv updates regarding roadway construction and lane closures.
