[ARCHIVED] EDCO’S CITY-WIDE BRUSH CLEARING EVENT Fall Season 2020

Brush Clearance Fall 2020

Help prevent brush fires by taking advantage of this event!  The City holds bi-annual brush clearing event.   The Fall season brush-clearing event begins in October.  The goal of the event is to assist homeowners’ dispose (free of charge) excess brush, shrubs, hedges, tree branches, and bushes in order to comply with the fire safety guidelines.  This event is especially helpful for large and/or canyon properties, and/or homes with trees in need of trimming. Acceptable green waste may be in tied bundles, in EDCO carts, and/or in other personal cans.  Greens placed in plastic bags will be accepted, however use of plastic bags are discouraged due to possible contamination issues at the processing facilities.  Loose material, trash or construction and demolition material will not be collected.

EDCO will recycle the collected green waste. This free event is in addition to the regularly scheduled weekly green waste collection.  The event starts on October 3rd for five consecutive Saturdays, each week concentrating on a different area in RPV depending on that area’s regular collection day.  Schedule your brush clearing work with your gardener and landscapers in advance.  Listed below are the scheduled brush clearing collection dates:
