Due to surface replacement work, playgrounds at several City parks will be temporarily closed starting September 8.
The playgrounds at Fred Hesse Jr. Community Park and Robert E. Ryan Community Park will be closed for approximately two weeks starting September 8. The playground at Eastview Park will be closed for approximately four days starting September 20.
This project involves the removal of existing sand, resealing of hard surfaces, and the addition of engineered wood fiber. The contractor will provide a physical barrier between the construction zone and the other open areas of the parks. If you have questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 310-544-5252.
