The City of Rancho Palos Verdes has been working on revisions to the Housing Element that was adopted on August 11, 2022 to comply with the comments the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) issued in its letter to the City dated October 14, 2022.
On January 30, 2024, City Staff submitted a Draft Revised Final Housing Element (PDF) to HCD for its formal review. The revisions address HCD comments from the October 14, 2022 letter in order for the Housing Element to comply with state housing element law. The statutory requirement for HCD to review the document is within 60 days. If deemed acceptable by HCD, the document will go before the City Council as part of a public hearing in the coming months.
