On March 19, the City Council will consider approving the installation of two emergency dewatering wells to respond to accelerated movement in the Portuguese Bend landslide complex. The Council will also receive an update from the City's geologist, consider exploring ways to provide assistance to the Abalone Cove Landslide Abatement District and Klondike Canyon Landslide Abatement District, and consider extending the City's local emergency declaration through May 18. The declaration must be renewed every 60 days to remain in effect.
