[ARCHIVED] Coastal Clean-Up Day 2016 on September 17th

Abalone Cove tide pools

On Saturday morning, September 17th at 9:00 AM, hundreds of volunteers, including Los Serenos de Point Vicente docents and members of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, will participate in a beach cleanup at Abalone Cove Beach.

Volunteers pick up trash and recyclables, as well as hundreds of pounds of invasive ice plant from the cliff side. This annual coastal cleanup day is much more than a day of cleaning one beach; people all over California and the world pitch in to help in the beautification of oceans and waterways on this day.
