Did you know Rancho Palos Verdes and Sakura City, Japan, are sister cities?
Since 2001, more than 300 students from two middle schools in Sakura City have traveled to Rancho Palos Verdes to attend Miraleste Intermediate School, enabling students from both cities to attain a robust cultural understanding and appreciation of both countries. Building on this bond, RPV and Sakura City made their cross-cultural friendship official in August 2020 by becoming sister cities.
