The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is making it easier for residents to have their voice heard on the issues they care about at City Council meetings with a more user-friendly public participation form on the City website.
If there’s an agenda item you want to speak on at the next City Council meeting, go to rpvca.gov/participate.
- On this page, select “City Council.”
- Then, fill out the form to sign up to speak either in person at Hesse Park, or from the comfort of your home via Zoom.
- Next, choose which agenda item you would like to speak on. The agenda items are listed on the form, and the full agenda as well as staff reports about each item are available at rpvca.gov/agendas. If the topic you want to speak on is something that’s not on the agenda, choose “Non-agenda item.”
Once you’ve completed the form, you can receive a confirmation email with instructions for the night of the meeting.
If you haven’t signed up to speak before the meeting, you can do so on an iPad in the Council chambers. And you can still always fill out a blue speaker slip at the Council meeting and hand it to City staff.
Please note that the new participation form is only available for City Council meetings, not advisory boards, at this time.
Check out the new participation form at rpvca.gov/participate.
If you have questions about participating in public comment during City Council meetings, please contact the City Clerk's Office at cityclerk@rpvca.gov or 310-544-5217.
