SoCalGas Advisory

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) advises that a “SoCalGas Advisory” will be issued on Monday, January 23rd. During a SoCalGas Advisory, customers are asked to immediately reduce their natural gas use to help lower the risk of possible natural gas and electricity shortages. The Advisory will be in effect beginning at 7:00 AM tomorrow and remain in effect until further notice.  Specific recommendations to reduce use include:

  • Lower thermostats to 68 degrees or below
  • Delay the use of natural gas appliances
  • Wash clothes in cold water when possible
