[ARCHIVED] Filming on Crest Road on May 17th

Expect Delays (400x250).jpg

Nearby residents, motorists and bicyclists should be aware that there is filming activity scheduled in the 5600-block of Crest Rd. (between Whitley Collins Dr. and Crenshaw Blvd.) and at St. John Fisher Church (5448 Crest Rd.) on Wednesday, May 17th. The cast and crew for a feature film will be shooting on the eastbound side of Crest Rd. and at the basketball court at the church.  Filming in the roadway will occur between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and will involve the temporary closure of the right-hand (No. 2) lane and the bike lane.  Sheriff’s deputies will be on-set to provide intermittent traffic control during filming, which will result in brief delays.  Filming at the church’s basketball court will occur between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.  The church parking lot will be used for production parking between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM; no production parking will be permitted on Crest Rd., Crenshaw Blvd. or in the surrounding neighborhoods.  The production involves a total cast and crew of 23 persons. The City’s Public Works Department has reviewed and approved the traffic control plan for this film shoot.
