Southern California Edison (SCE) has notified the City that there are three power poles in need of replacement near Palos Verdes Dr. E. and Via Subida. The areas where the poles are located have very limited access, so SCE has requested the City’s permission to close a portion of Palos Verdes Dr. E. between La Vista Verde Dr. and Via Subida on Wednesday, June 28th from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM to accommodate the large cranes needed to perform the work. The City is coordinating with SCE regarding the scope of the work, traffic control, public notification and safety. Residents, motorists and bicyclists are advised to avoid the area on June 28th and consider alternate routes.
