[ARCHIVED] Building Permit Inspections over the 2017 Winter Holiday Break

Construction site

Although City Hall offices will be closed for the 2017 Winter Holiday Break from Monday, December 25th through Monday, January 1st, the City's building inspectors will be available on a limited schedule to conduct inspections of open permits. Inspections will be available only on:

  • Wednesday, December 27th
  • Friday, December 29th

Please call the Building & Safety Division's inspection line at (310) 544-5279 or make an E-Request by clicking here no later than 4:00 PM on the business day before the requested inspection date to schedule an inspection. Inspectors will not be available for technical inquiries at City Hall or over the phone during this period. However, the inspection line may also be used to report suspected non-permitted construction during the holiday break.

As a reminder, construction activity is permitted only between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays, and between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Saturdays. Construction activity is not permitted on Sundays or on legal holidays, unless approved in advance with a Special Construction Permit issued by the Planning Division.  Please note that Monday, December 25th and Monday, January 1st are legal holidays (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, respectively).
