Countywide Curfew Issued from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The County of Los Angeles has issued a curfew that is in effect from 6 p.m. tonight, May 31, to 6 a.m. June 1. Residents across the county should remain in their homes and only go out to seek medical care or go to an essential job.
The City continues to monitor activity in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as demonstrations in the South Bay, and staff remains in constant communication with law enforcement. About 150 people participated in a peaceful demonstration today on Palos Verdes Drive South at Trump National Drive, with no incidents reported. The City thanks the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for ensuring public safety.
The City will continue to provide updates to the community.
