Cal Water Update: Upcoming Paving on Hitching Post Drive Near PV Drive North

Please see the following update from Cal Water regarding base paving work starting as early as tomorrow, July 16, on Hitching Post Drive near Palos Verdes Drive North:

Dear Residents,

We hope this finds you safe and healthy. We’re reaching out to provide you with an update on California Water Service’s (Cal Water) Palos Verdes Peninsula Water Reliability Project as it relates to work?on Hitching Post Drive.?

Starting as early as tomorrow, July 16, crews will conduct base paving for the areas impacted by construction on Hitching Post Drive, near Palos Verdes Drive North. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., for approximately one day. Traffic control will continue as normal with the far-right lane of eastbound Palos Verdes Drive North and the right lane of Hitching Post Drive closed to traffic. Residents will still be able to enter and exit Hitching Post Drive as well as make right-hand turns onto Palos Verdes Drive East from the Palos Verdes Drive North eastbound middle lane.

Crews expect to conduct permanent paving on Hitching Post Drive as early as next Monday, July 20, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for approximately one day. With all major tie-ins now complete, crews will be finishing final activities, including permanent paving, striping, and restoration, to return the surrounding areas to the same or better condition over the next few weeks. The same traffic control will be in place during work hours and vehicles will still be able to travel in each direction at all times.

As a reminder,?all construction timing is estimated?and may change based on several factors, including unforeseeable field circumstances. We’ll continue to keep you updated on ongoing work.
