High Surf Advisory Issued for December 8-9
The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory from 3 a.m. Tuesday, December 8 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, with large breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet and dangerous rip currents expected.
Beachgoers should use caution and be mindful of rip currents and sneaker waves. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
