Safety Tip: Protect Your Home
Residents are strongly encouraged to take the following steps to help prevent residential burglaries:
- Lock all doors and windows, including garage doors and side gates.
- Turn on lights or set them on a timer if you plan to be away.
- Avoid leaving valuables in visible areas.
Additionally, request identification from any stranger that comes to your door, including utility workers, and verify before they enter your home.
Home alarms, guard animals, signage, and trimmed landscaping can also assist in protecting your property.
