National Prescription Drug Take Back Day April 24
The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department is participating in the 20th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 24. Stop by the station at 340 Palos Verdes Drive West from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to drop off potentially dangerous prescription medications.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted. DEA will continue to accept vaping devices and cartridges at its drop-off locations provided lithium batteries are removed.
All collection sites will adhere to local COVID-19 guidelines and regulations to maintain the safety of all participants and local law enforcement. Please note that the Lomita Sheriff’s Station will not be a drop-off location.
