City Council Meeting HighlightsLast night, the City Council approved a five-year agreement with Pano AI to install a network of high-mounted cameras in the City that will be monitored 24/7 to detect wildfire smoke across the Peninsula so first responders can be alerted to a brush fire as early as possible. Installation will begin in the coming weeks. The Council also voted to permanently allow the use of bikes, skates, skateboards, and scooters at Hesse Park, Eastview Park, and the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, and to look into identifying additional City sites that could allow this use. City staff will also explore ways to enhance safety among riders and walkers at Hesse Park, including potential designated paths.
