City Disaster Planning

Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) 2025:

The City's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is the ultimate authority for coordinating response and recovery operations in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. Its primary intent is to govern such operations following incidents that require the involvement of multiple City departments, external organizations/jurisdictions, other levels of government, or mutual aid. This EOP identifies the City’s emergency planning, organization, response policies, and procedures.

Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan 2020

On November 17, the City Council adopted the 2020 Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP) for the Cities of Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates. The Plan identifies hazards and ways to minimize damage caused by natural and human-caused disasters and ensures continued eligibility for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding. RPV is working with the other 3 peninsula cities to update this joint plan. The MJHMP is actively being updated, provide public comment and more information here: https://www.pvpready.gov/resources/hazard-mitigation/
