As a part of Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Upgrade Project, SCE will be replacing power poles along Miraleste Dr. in the Miraleste area on Saturday, December 10th between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. As a result of this work, the northbound lanes of Miraleste Dr. will be closed between Nancy Rd. and Palos Verdes Dr. E., and will only be open to local traffic between Via Colinita and Nancy Rd.  Two-way traffic will be temporarily diverted to the southbound lanes of Miraleste Dr. between Palos Verdes Dr. E. and Via Colinita.  SCE advises that this weekend work will result in the removal of the temporary power poles that were installed in mid-September by December 16th.  SCE has notified directly-affected residents about this closure, and message board signs were posted in the area on Monday, December 5th.  The City’s Public Works inspector will be on-site on Saturday to ensure compliance with the traffic control plan for this work.

More information about the SCE Upgrade Project is available on the City’s website.  You may also contact the City’s Public Works Department at (310) 544-5252 or  Please click the link  below for the full-size detour map.
