How to make a Donation to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes

Donations may be submitted by mail, or by person at the designated facility location. Soon, most donations can even be submitted online (this feature coming soon). Only certain donations are available online through this link. Donations such as special events donations have specific time frames, please check dates for each category below. Donations can be made by cash, credit card/debit card, or check. If mailing a donation, please make checks payable to the: City of Rancho Palos Verdes, and attach the application form (if applicable) or a letter stating the purpose of the donation with your contact information; including email. Please mail your donation to the following address:

Categories: 4th of July, Whale of a Day, Point Vicente Interpretive Center, REACH, Breakfast with Santa, or Park bench.

Once the donation has been processed, you will be emailed a copy of the receipt. If you wish for your donation to be anonymous, please let us know. We will make sure your name is not displayed on public records.

Point Vicente Interpretive Center- Museum

Donations for the Point Vicente Interpretive Center goes directly to the museum and its exhibits.

Donations for this category can be made at any time by calling Point Vicente Interpretative Center directly at 310-544-5375 or you can do it in person at 31501 PV Drive West, RPV, CA 90275 open everyday from 10am-5pm except on Thanksgiving day, Christmas eve, Christmas day and New Year's.

Monetary donations

Donations can be made in person, by mail, or by calling PVIC directly. We accept cash, cc/debit card, or personal check.

Amphitheatre Plaques

In-kind Donations (books, etc.) In-kind donations are subject to an approval process.

Special Events

Whale of a Day

This event is held every year around March or April as weather permits and donations start about a month before the event date. Donations go to support the Whale of a Day event that is held at Point Vicente Interpretive Center in commemoration of the Gray whale migration by the City of RPV and Los Serenos Docents.

Fourth of July

This event is held every year at City Hall on July 4th. Donations go to support the special event expenses.  More information will be posted here soon.

REACH

REACH is a program administered by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes Recreation and Parks Department, is designed to serve the social and recreational needs of youth and young adults with developmental disabilities in Rancho Palos Verdes and the South Bay.

Breakfast with Santa event

This event is held every year in December at Hesse Park by the REACH Program participants. The event consist of a Christmas fundraiser event where the REACH participants sell gifts and participate in other activities during the event. All the funds collected from the gift shop at the event go to support the REACH Program and its activities. Your donations will serve the REACH program directly.

Park Benches

Commemorative park benches are available at specific park locations and can have a small plaque that can be customized.

Bench dimensions: Six‐foot park bench with 10.5 inches by 3 inches cast bronze plaque $3,000
